I have decided I will be deleting my google account and I do not know if my blogs will still be visible or not. Life is getting very busy and I have not been posting anyway. So this post is goodbye. I will leave you with some fun awkward+awesomes from work... 😉 because everyone knows they get that much more fun the more you do...
Awkward:
1 having a coworker come through drivethru and trying to be a smart aleck by using the same line he teases you with and tongue-twisting yourself which always makes you nervous... Results.. You end up looking like you're massively crushing when you in fact are not.
2 thinking an older man was reaching out to shake your hand and touching his hand to shake it as he asks for jelly.... Yah...
3 not being able to say "I have a premium grilled sweet chili wrap" because the screen shows "Prm W Grl/SC" ... He orders it every morning and I have to pause before I say it
4 spilling burning hot hot chocolate all over your manager's hand. Need I say more?
5 three air force guys coming through asking how far to Charlotte (had to clock in by 6 and it was toward 5) and which highway to take. I think they ended up in Raleigh.
Awesome:
1 meeting a classmate online who wants to be a missionary whose brother your brother knows
2 having a job
3 sister graduating college
4 sisters coming home
5 graduating soon
6 having military personnel in full fatigues come through drivethru!! #goarmy
So friends I bid you adieu.
God's blessings to you all. Your continued prayers for me are very appreciated. I need them more than ever as I navigate new waters.
My love,
Ruth

Latests
So I've been fairly busy. (Just read an entire "module" of Advanced Biology in two days... I really need to hurry!) I'm only 31 lessons away from graduating high school math completely! YAY! Today, I went on a tour of my college campus. (So pretty!) I got me some swag (Oh yes!) Had a blast...
I did something interesting for a week. I didn't look in mirrors except when I needed to. Like, washing my face. Guess what?! I look at myself so differently now. It's crazy! You should totally try it (Guys and girls!) It's awesome :)
So there's my quick update I guess.
Love and my prayers,
Ruth

There is No Fear: Awkward+Awesome
"There is no fear in love"
Have you ever been afraid that when the time comes, you won't have the strength? That maybe you'll crack under pressure? That maybe fear will get the better of you, or that you'll make a stupid decision that will mess everything up? That you might give in to peer pressure and ruin things?
I think we all do. But, really, if we draw near to God, and conscientiously live as He wants us to, and has told us to, we'll be fine. God promises us to be our strength.
With God there is nothing we can't do inside of His will. What is God's will? you might ask. To serve Him faithfully, all the days of our lives. To show His love to everyone. To witness of His great salvation.
By this people will know that we love God and follow Him, by our love for one another. Let's remember to love God first, and then those around us, and then ourselves, because THAT is God's Will.
So.. on a lighter note, we have the Awkward+Awesome game to play! Yippee! here goes.
Awkward:
1. Having multiple siblings compliment a pajama shirt... one that you weren't that crazy about....
2. Dropping off a gift and Christmas cards at a friend's house, knocking, and running back to your car and leaving before anybody could possibly come to the door.
3. Posting pictures of yourself on a blog post that really does not need pictures but you were looking through your pictures and realized no one had ever seen these (that you can recollect) and so you decide to use them though they're really not needed. At. All!
4. Taking a selfie with your cousin and sist
Awesome:
1. Waking up at 6:40 am during vacation and finishing Fiddler on the Roof with your sister.... I like that musical! First time I ever watched it, too!
2. Being accepted to the same college as a friend. It's always fun to wonder if you'll see them, right?
3. Intercepting a piece of candy that was tossed, so perfectly, that you surprise even yourself. Like, it was practically in their hand and I still somehow got it!!
4. Cousins, and siblings, and parents, and an exciting future to look forward to and of course, best of all, a God that will stick with me to the end!
Do you have any awkward+awesomes to share? I'd love to read them in the comments!
Have a great 2016!

Plans
So long time no post. What have I been up to? Mostly family stuff... you know... vacation! Besides that, I've been halfway studying. I've got ten modules left, and forty-three lessons of math. (Little engine that Could, please?) "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think-" Can I? Yah, pretty sure I can. With God's help, I'll finish in time. (I realize I still have six months, but the danger is real!)
Plans then, right? Plans right now are to finish a black dress for an awards ceremony I have to go to next (the 14th) Thursday. I got the cutest dress, but it needed alterations. I personally think the alterations improve the dress. :) What's the ceremony for? Well... I have... won a small scholarship for a speech I wrote. There's a possibility I may win more to this scholarship (it goes by stages), but I have for certain won the Post level. Okay, so you have no idea what I'm talking about. I entered the Voice of Democracy speech contest given by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and wrote a speech about my vision for America. The awards are given by local post, district post, state post, and then national post in Washington. I have won $150 so far, and I would really love to win the national prize of $30,000. That's right.. 30K dollars for a speech! Your prayers are appreciated for this! :D
Other plans? I've been accepted to the UNCG Lloyd International Honors College- so that means a lot of studying the next four years and a study abroad. (ITALY PLEASE!!!) "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can". I may go to summer school this year. I really hope to.
And the greatest, hugest, that is, change of plan so far... I'm going to have to live on campus because my parents are going to sell the house. Price of college just went through the roof.
So there you are, friends. Sounds busy? mehh... not as busy as it should be! I'm extremely impatient to apply for housing, especially since my twin cousin who is really two years older than me, told me I get to "propose" for roommates online!! Sounds fun? I think so! (Quad please! Quad please! Quad please!)
There you have it! My busy life :P
"For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth. And after my skin and flesh are destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh, I shall see God, Whom I shall see for myself, and not a stranger."
I've read that just about every night for the longest time! haha Just by chance, too.
Happy New Year!

A Verse
My Bible kept falling open to this verse I have underlined:
"Behold I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former shall not be remembered or come to mind" Isaiah 65:17
Isn't it wonderful to think that God is going to do away with all the evil, death, sin, hate, wickedness, violence, cruelty and abuse? I cannot wait for when I won't have to strive against sin and when I won't remember sin. It will be beautiful!

Books and Awkward+Awesome
So I've been doing a fair amount of reading, as usual. Here's a list of books I like (it is by no means a complete list!)
Uncle Tom's Cabin (Harriet Beecher Stowe)
I Rode With Stonewall (Henry Kyd Douglas)
Around the World in Eighty Days (Jules Verne)
The Story of the Trapp Family Singers (Baroness Maria von Trapp)
The Dave Darrin series (H. Irving Hancock)
The G.A. Henty series (Lots of books about different kids all historic fiction with really detailed history in them! Awesome!)
There ya' go! Those are some of the many books I like! Now for Awkward+Awesome!
Awkward:
1. Talking to somebody and you know their family fairly well and you've met them twice before and you know who they are but they just nod and smile politely the whole time while their eyes just go back and forth over your face as they try to remember who on earth "this girl I see every time I come home and is really into the military" is. ....
2. Having all your younger siblings and an older brother go to Field & Stream and being back in the cramped bow area and having to duck twice to get out of employees ways....
3. Remembering how awkward you were as a tween and how you thought you had it all figured out how you just knew what you wanted to do and knew everything about being an adult. No.
Awesome:
1. Having chats with your really strong Christian aunt!
2. Having your friends' baby toddler girl finally grin at you and let you hold her. (Never could get her to let me hold her when she was a baby)
3. Feeling God's love.
